We are trying to put together a couple of missions opportunities for our Journey students. The schedule is East Ridge Lifecare Operation Christmas Child kickoff party (Trek & Journey), Saturday November 7th from 10-5 pm. We will need to be there around 10 am to set up and get ready. We have also set up a trip to work at the Operation Christmas Child sorting facility in Atlanta ( Journey only). This will be on Saturday December 12th from 7-10pm. There will be more info to come.

Another opportunity we have is to help supply some of the needs of the Community Kitchen. This will be for everyone to participate in and be a part of. There will be two very large blue plastic containers in the LEC when clubbers arrive in which they can put  supplies for the Community Kitchen. When we get them filled I will take them to the Community Kitchen and bring them back to fill again. Here is a list of current needs that they have: grits and oats; corn starch; gallon-sized freezer bags; laundry powder; napkins; shaped pasta; canned corn and fruit (#10's); plastic bags. The Community Kitchen averages a little over 13,000 meals a month with November and December being their busiest months. Thanks for helping the Community Kitchen supply these needs.
